Sorry I haven't updated in months. Ack. Been rather busy at work this summer. It cuts in to project time way too much. I've got quite a few in the pipeline and, if I get off my lazy ass long enough, I should be posting them soon.

Side Notes:

It's finally getting hot here in Michigan. It's been such a nice cool summer so far ( 3rd. Coldest on record, eat that global warming! )

I've finally broke down and joined the ranks of modern social media, I now have a TWITTER account. Teh Horrorz. Sorry, it's like a sickness, no plague. Ya, plague sound more like it. Same user name as here. ( like most everywhere else I'm at ) You can also view it here, look bellow.

Government offices really need to work on there pronunciation and use of acronyms.
I went to the Port Huron city offices to get a copy of some road construction plans for a project I'm working on. They told me I needed to fill out a “Freedom of Information Act” form or FOIA for short. There's no problem there, it's paperwork as usual. It was how the clerk pronounced the acronym in her statement, “So, you need a FOIA.” It sounded like foyer ( foi'ā' ) , as in the room directly inside of the entrance of buildings. To which I replied, “No, I need road plans not building entrances.” Once she clarified th acronym I explained having a slight Architecture background causing the confusion.
This seems to have happen quite a lot over my lifetime. And, no, it's not my hearing. I hear thing I shouldn't be able to.
